Slowly, but surely, I'm putting my 35.5 plumbing back together using a lot of the information from other owners who have done it before and advice you have given to all of us along the way. Thanks so much Peggie. I want to use the SeaLand "custom hose adapters" that are glueable and easier to get the AVS96 hose onto. Which 90 deg. elbows do I use to attach to the tank? Are the ones from a hardware store (threaded one end) the way to go? Teflon tape on the threads? If I go with a top mount discharge fitting with dip tube, is there a chance the dip tube can separate from the fitting and drop down inside the tank? If so, what does one do when that happens? I REALLY only want to do this once!!!

Use a threaded SeaLand fitting at the tank...

SeaLand has a threaded fitting that you can glue a 90 or 45 into...and then the hose adapter. The fittings shown on this site http://www.sealandservices.com/hose_fittings.htm aren't a complete list, so you'll prob'ly want to call SeaLand for one...800-321-9886. Yep...Teflon tape on the threads. The diptube is cemented into the fitting, so it's very unlikely it could fall off. I've never known it to happen.
