I'm curious if any of these charting programs will allow you to integrate DR and various manual navigation options directly to the chart (such as double angle off the bow, bearings, etc.) and with a celestial option to calculate position from inputing sextant fixes. I've found some programs that do any of these but none that are comprehensive and do the manual stuff along with an ability to take GPS info. I like to go offshore using the basics sometimes. Would be nice to have an electronic chart system that plotted a DR that you could update with whatever information you wanted or had at hand. Yeah I know....if I want to be without the GPS why not be without the computer too! I'm a geek at heart, and like to watch the little boat move on the chart. Dan Jonas (S/V Feije)
