Fairly pourous gelcoat on decks, ready for the IG treatment... but nearer term, need to get some bird poop stains out of it... used Sea Glow

Bird poop is funny stuff!

Water Won't do it, the cleaners won't do it but cleaners water will (I use IGP Pink). It's common sense really, Bird (and spider) poop has some fatty content and ammonia, urea etc which needs a polarity between cleaner and water.What I tend to do is wet the area, then squirt on some pink bit at a time with agitating with a brush. When you hit the right raito, the poop comes off.By the way its the same with puke and human poop (I use pink and water to clean the head.ThanksJim Willis

Try OxyClean

I was up late one night and saw a infomercial about OxyClean. I thought if it were half as good as it looked it would be worth the money.I mix up a paste with water then use a scrub pad. it still takes elbo grease but they came up. The first time I had to do the whole deck. I first just hit the bird droppings but those spots became whiter than the unstained deck.Get it at walmat or Oxyclean.comI also took some old CD and hang them on the life line when at the dock. they flutter in a light breeze and made a very soft noise. Just enought to fend off small birds but not enought to bother me or other docked boaters.good luck Skip"Kid Napper"Cat 27
