Fellow Sailors, What are your recommendations and experiences for using or not using a biocide agent in the diesel fuel tank? My specifics are: 1979 h30, YSM 12, (running well, fuel tank full most of the time, northeastern weather. Sits on the hard from Nov to Apr. Thanks, Bob Alden 1979 h30 "Summer's Glory"

Biocide
I use Biobor religiously. Our tank fouled twice and had to pump out without it. For the past 24 years we have not had a problem using it. Our yard adds it to all boat dhen performing winter layup.

Just Be Careful...
...when you add biocide. I know that some brands of diesel here in NE already have biocide in them. Just ask and check to be sure. Too much biocide is no good. BTW, nice pic.
