Bimini Size
Chris, The Bimini on my 1980 H27 is approximately six feet long and six and one half feet wide. Ideally, it should be longer to cover more of the hatch area as well as the helmsman. If I were putting on a new Bimini I would have a cutout with snaps etc. to go around the backstays and have it a bit longer in the front as well. It can be mounted on the side of the transom near the winches for the gibe; or it could be mounted on the flat area behind the winches. Also, make sure that the boom can swing freely over the top. That would allow quite a bit of headroom. Avoid mounting it closer to the hatch because then there would be limited space to crawl out to get on the cabin top etc. Hope this helps. Joe
