I have used . .

Thompson's waterseal with success. The bimini I used it on was 11 years old It was just worn, no obvious rips or tears. I bought a can and transfered about a quart to a plastic spray bottle (the kind you use to mist a plant) and applied it liberally. If you have any small rips or tears, I used clear rope whip. Hope this helps, Chris s/v Tidesong

303 for Sunbrella

Ed: Check out 303 for Sunbrella. I do not know how much water proofing it is going to provide but it may help.

Starbrite.

Every winter I wash all of my canvas. First warm day I hang it over the fence and spray with Starbrite "Waterfroofing with Teflon". That's the bimini, dodger, and both sail covers. No leaks, water beads on the covers. Bought several spray bottles from Sailrite when I bought my bimini kit. But you will also find it in your local chandlery.
