bimini top installation with stern rail seats

HELP!!! i am having a hard time installing the bimini with the stern rail seats. i ordered the correct bimini, however, if i install it in order to clear the main sheet, when i lower the bimini, it basically rests in front of my face when i am sitting on the stern rail seats. i must be doing something wrong. please tell me how to install so that i can sit on the stern rail seats when the bimini is down.

You may have it right

Many biminis fold down directly onto the stern rail for support. Usual custom for deploying is different from a convertible. Instead of putting it up and down, plan on keeping it up all year round or keeping the framework up when you remove the fabric part in the fall.I usually wait until warm weather to put it up and wind up removing it in September just before the hurricane season hits.
