bimini top for '79 O'Day 23

Was wondering if anyone has had any luck installing a bimini on a 23. Does not appear to be enough room. I recently purchased this '79, and do have a need for some shade. Last resort will be to hang something over the boom, but will not help when the sail is hoisted. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you. alex
