After these last couple of days sailing in the Annapolis area, I am considering a Bimini. Has anyone purchased one recently and where? It looks like a 4' by 7' coverage area behind the boom. Has the mounting of the Bimini caused problems with sheeting and access to winches? What about the offset backstay, any problems from mailorder on those? I have had estimates from $470 mailorder with aluminum frames up to $1400 with stainless from local shops (out of the question.) Has anyone used this website's vendor? the asking price seems reasonable if the product is as advertised. Any help would be appreciated, TIA.
