bimini options for 40.5

Looking at possibly purchasing a 40.5 which does not have a bimini.
It does have a dodger.

looking for any suggestions and or approximate cost for one west coast around San Diego.

Mine

I have one. It zips to the aft of the dodger. It also has the option of installing side panels as a full enclosure.

I was quoted about $1500 for a replacement in Long Beach, CA. I paid considerably less. That was without the frame. I suspect you could have one made up for $1700 from scratch, maybe a C note more for the zipper on the dodger. just a guess, but this is a competitive trade.

John is looking for sources in San Diego for a bimini. Anyone want to weigh in with some you would recommend? It's been too long since I had work in SD.

I just had all my canvas redone by MEMO'S CUSTOM CANVAS in Chula Vista. He did a great job, very fair price.

You may want to contact a company named Ameriseam. They have bimini's precut for most production boats. I bought one for a smaller boat and the only issue I had was the hardware was plastic rather than stainless. However, the cost was much less expensive even purchasing stainless elsewhere.
