Does anyone have a bimini for their S2 8.0c? I would like to gather information and see if we can make one. Pictures, drawings, comments, suggestions are all welcome.
Bimini on a 8.0c is not that great. There isn't much headroom in the cockpit and moving to and from the cockpit is difficult. My boat came with a bimini and I used it a couple of times and it is nice to have some shade. The frame attached to the toe rail but I've seem some attached directly to the cockpit sides as well.
Last year I didn't use it once. While at the dock or anchored I used a simple light weight tarp over the boom which worked very well.
I don't have any photos of my bimini. It covers the entire cockpit. My only advice is don't have it cover the entire cockpit. Leave room at the front so you can move to the forward part of the boat easier.

My bimini mounts out side the coming on the deck and lays just ahead of the traveler when laid aft and just ahead of the sliding hatch when fwd. the boom must be swung wide out or lifted to put it up or down but I leave the back tied and use bungies on the front and it goes up and down verry quick and easy. hopes this helps you out. genomb@yahoo
