Bimini

Javier: Four years ago I purchased a Bimini from Island Nautical through the "Defender" marine calatologue. Overall it has worked out very well for me on my O'day 28. It comes as a kit and can be self installed. I installed mine. As I said I went through the catalogue but you can contact Island Nautical (IN) directly. They are located in New York (the city I think) and have an 800 number. They have lots of patterns for many boat types on record. The installation went pretty easy and came with all hardware and instructions. Also they give you a number to call if you encounter any problems. They have a fair number of Sunbrella colors to choose from and several styles of dodgers to look at. The good folks at Defender weren't at all helpful and in fact created some problems so I recommend you contact Island Nautical directly. I paid about a thousand bucks for mine and it came with the dodger and the frame. They have both stainless and aluminum frames. Good Luck, Mike S/B Pitterpat, Lake Huron

Oops I meant dodger

Javier: I meant to say I purchased a Dodger from them but the information is the same since they make bimini's too. Mike

Cheap Bimini

Measure the boom and buy a "blue tarp" Tie off to the shrouds & use a boatpole across the rear. Less than $15 & lasts for 10 years!

Island Nautical available here

Hi Javier - As Mike indicated, Island Nautical offers dodgers and biminis for several makes of boats, including your O'day 27. Why not support this site and order from the chandlery on this site? Great customer service is a real perk. See Related link below. Best, Trevor
