Eric talked about a bimini cover for his Sandpiper. Anyone else thinking of a bimini might find it useful to look at (Widget, The Mighty Trailer Sailor) on google. This is Chris Councill's site on the Sanibel 17, a Florida-built boat with some similar attributes to the Sandpiper. the Sanibel has the advantage of an open floor since it has an offset centerboard; however, that's another topic. This site has lots and lots of pictures of about two dozen Sanibel boats. Several of them have bimini covers and a few pictures show boats sailing with the bimini up. Many of the other pictures show interior and hardware changes or improvements that might give Sandpiper owners some ideas.
