I think I need some clarification. When I lift up my wooden floorboards in the galley I see rectangle blocks about an inch down. When I lift up the small hatch under the sink I see the same thing.I do not seem to have any access to the bilge. Are all the H22 built this way??I wanted to put in an elecric bilge pump ,but there seems to be no where to install it.Any help here ??

Bilge pump access

Bill, you stated that can see rectangular blocks in the bilge access under the sink? Thats odd! Now the blocks you see under the floorboards in the main salon area, is the boats ballast and they are concrete. Theres only 2 things I can think of explaining the blocks in the access under the sink. 1) The flooring seemed weak and a previous owner wedged blocks up in there to keep the floor from caving in. or 2) A previous owner added some more ballast. Regardless theres not much room under there for a bilge pump, but it can be done. On my 22 I have an 8" screw in deck plate in the area I circled on the attached picture. I don't know if this is factory or a previous owner added it, but thats where I found room to put my pump.
