Hunter 420 Passage San Diego
My Hunter 33 is just over a year old and the bilge pump is not working. It is a Rule Mate 750. The light on the panel is on but the pump does not turn on. I found a reset button but it was not out to reset, but pushed on it anyway. I examined the pump and moved the impeller and the float works. Does anyone have any ideas before I buy a new pump and find that I missed something simple. Thanks

Take off the wire nuts, clean the wires, and

put the wire nuts back over the connections and check again. It may be corrosion especially if the wire nuts were in the bilge water.

No visable nuts connecting the wires

Thanks for the help. This bilge pump that came with the boat is a contained unit. The wires go directly into the unit, so I guess I have to tear apart and see what I find.
