Hello everybody: I need some help with the following thing: I have just bought a Hunter sloop 27' year 1981 and I am now doing some repairs. The bilge pump doesn´t exist in my boat I need to buy one but I only know the trade mark = RULE, but I don´t know what is the better model for my boat (made by RULE). I would like if someone can help me with this.

The bilge on my 272,81', is still bright white from a coat of enamel from last May. You are in luck: the bilge is very shallow, BUT the boat is very seaworthy and my bilge pump has only clicked on when I turn it upside down, every so often, so it doesn't feel neglected. The bilge is connected to the starboard topsides. I do use a turkey baster to siphon the water from the first bilge opening directly in front where an opening goes to connect with the "larger" bilge area. The water comes from the shaft when I am motoring and is usually 1 cup or less. I will get you the name on the bilge this week-end but this is such a helpful sight that some one else will get you the info before I do. Enjoy your 81', I sure as hell do! Cheers s/v "LOTUS"
