What was in there before? I recently replaced the pump in our 340. I looked at several "replacements" but ended up going back with the Rule 1200. It fit, was wired the same, and had the proper hose sizing (3/4"). We sometimes think if a pump runs, it works. I found that my old pump had lost a lot of its "oompf" after 11 years. My new thought is that after 7 years you should replace the pump anyway. See me in 7!

You need a 12v pump and Amps are not important. Space requirements might have a bearing on the physical size. If you have a large bilge, then most will fit. Otherwise they come in GPH (gallons per hour). I would think at least a 1500 GPM pump for that size boat.

Amps are always important for wire sizing. This is because many older boats have undersized wiring for the distance and amps the pumps draw. And of course if you upgrade the pump the deal might be more and your wiring might not be sized properly. It's always good to check! If you don't know how to do that ask your yard or this forum, many of us are happy to help!

Anything from 500 GPH to 1200 GPH should do quite nicely. It is actually the smaller boats that need the larger capacity pumps as they fill faster.
