Not sure about your boat, but bilge pumps were optional in some makes and models. Bilge pumps are usually installed in the low point of the bilge as this is where the most water collects. Look under the floor boards and follow any discharge hose as other have pointed out. If your boat has none then you get to choose what you may want to install.
He sounded anxious in his post. Hope he was able to keep her from filling. Heads up people ! Check you bilge equipment to be sure all is still working properly and you know how it operates.
I suggest you track every above water overboard fitting hose from the overboard connection to its ultimate destination and either tag or not each one for future reference. During this process you will either locate the bilge pump/pumps or establish their absence.
