While replacing my bilge pump, I broke the hose. I can neither get the old hose out or get a new hose in betweeen the hull and the hull liner. The keel is on wood blocks with stands supporting the sides and bow of the boat. Is it possible that the weight of the boat on the keel has forced the hull liner and hull together and when the boat is in the water that this distance may open up when the keel is hanging from the hull ? Or is there a certain way this hose should be replaced ?

Possible, but....

Your guess might be correct. That would certainly put more pressure on that joint than being in the water. However, what ever you do, make sure to replace any ribbed bilge pump hose with smooth. The ribbed commonly used will cut your gph capacity of the pump DRAMATICALLY. Good Luck Doug
