My automatic bilge pump stoppped working it seems that there is a fuse behind the instrument panel - I am guessing. Can anyone confirm or tell me correct hookup.
The pump has an internal float switch.

Is there a switch for the pump on the instrument panel? It would give you on-off-auto. The switch, if you have it, is where I'd expect the fuse to be.

It can also be the float switch, they are notorious for failing. Lift the float to see if the pump turns on. Does the pump work when the switch is turned to the manual position?

The likely causes of pumps not turning on: Switch on the panel is poorly labeled and the pump is actually off, the pump is jammed with debris, float switch died, fuse/breaker, wiring issue and a bad pump. That pretty much sums up all the possibilities

Turn the pump upside down to test the internal switch.

Don't overlook the switch on your panel. I believe I unnecessarily replaced my float switch because of a poorly labeled panel switch. My switch has three positions and I assumed that toggled to the right was on like all the others
