Hello I have an O'Day 25 with a swing keel. I am looking to replace the manual punp in the bilge with an electric, however, it is pretty confined. It looks to have about 2 1/2 inches of clearance. Can anyone recommend a pump that I can try? Thank you Mike

Mike, Your bilge pump could probably go in the bilge under the cockpit sole, or anywhere that you think water could collect. Myself, I prefer a manual bilge pump. I have it set up so that I can work it in the cockpit while I'm sailing. Thank God, I've never had to use mine. Joe

Mike i just installed a Rule 500 GPH with a float switch. I wired it both manual and automatic. I placed it next to my center board trunk, with the float switch just behind the pump. It's tight but, it can be done.
