Does anyone know how much water the bilge holds and how can you get it all out? Is it OK if a little water stays in the bilge? Also, is it OK to drain the water from the water tank into the bilge as long as the bilge pump is working?

Yeah, its probably OK

George, Its probably OK for some water to stay, although I would try to get it all out (unless you have a big enough leak to make it pointless) Most big boats have some water in the bilge at all times. You can get it all out with a sponge or a small towell etc. As long as your pump is working and the water in the tank is clean, I don't see any problems draining your water tank into the bilge. Take Care! Chris

If you drain the water tank into the bilge,

Add some bilge cleaner--to the bilge, not the water tank--and use it to clean the bilge.Disable the bilge pump and go sailing...tack a lot to really slosh the sudsy solution around. Then drain it, and hose it out very thoroughly. Your boat will smell a LOT better!
