This morning I noticed that the portion of sole that serves as the bilge cover was uneven. When I picked the cover up I found that the wood appears to have warped and separated from the cover. My initial plan is to take it home, either put bigger screws in the holes where the 4 screws (2 forward, 2 aft...the rest are still secure) or remove the whole piece, glue and rescrew. My concern is that the wood will continue to put stress on the bigger screws and I will be right back where I started.

Anyone experience this issue on their 310? Any better solutions?

Probably a result of too damp an environment during the winter - no surprise there.

It might return to close to form once you put it in a dry place for a week or two before re-screwing; doing it now before it dries out will exacerbate the problem.

I had the same problem. I just applied a little 5200 between the boards, and used a larger dia screw to pull it all tight. Let it dry and it is much better.

I've had thesame problem for years. I now remove it when the boats not in use and it's fine but the long range plan is to epoxy the pices together, then coat the whole underside with epoxy (someday).
