My 28' O'Day never gets boat speed (Max 5.2kts) with the 11X8RH prop. I have a 12X12RH I can modify if it would work. It is too big as is. Any ideas? Note It is a 1985 with Universal M12.
Pete: The first thing to do is check your knotmeter. This is best done under engine at constant rpm in flat water. Use a good GPS to get a reading, and make sure you know whether you are reading knots or mph. We recently had to adjust our knotmeter up as it was showing .75 knots too slow.
