Just wanted to take a moment of time to say thanks to you all out there. I'm new into sailing and feel I have learned a lot by reading the post. I'm in Michigan and have started my search for a boat. Will be looking into some sailing classes when the ice leaves the area (actually already on that). Anyways this site has really answered a lot of the questions I had and really preped me to start the search and actully have an idea of not only what I want but the must haves.... Ken

Welcome aboard ken. This is a good site to ask questions, and there are a lot of folks here that will offer a lot of answers, comments, cautions, etc. Sometimes conflicting info but you can easily sort that out. Dont be shy about asking for info.

My wife and I took a week long live aboard sailing class on Lake Erie about 7 year ago. It was best thing we could done. We use Fair Wind Sailing School
