A dockmate sent this to me. Avalon Harbor, Catalina Island, December 22, 2011. Not a great time to be on a mooring, but great surfing.

Just something not right when you see a christmas tree and a palm tree in the same frame! Looks like all the boats were riding anchor quite well! Mostly a surfer vid! Thanks for sharing though!

These conditions are not uncommon in Fishers Island Sound, Block Island Sound, Long Island sound, especially early spring and late fall. It's perfect for a "Shark 24", she will plane with a strong wind off the quarter, and we "Surf the waves". Love it!
