I've installed some new code this morning that will keep you from bouncing out of the new forums when you click links on the home page or use the search function. You should stay pretty well in the new forums all the time now if you're registered. So... I urge you to register now if you haven't, give them a try, contact me with any bugs. You'll find the link to the beta test forums under the Forums tab. They're going live soon... Thanks! ph.

Good....

Phil: That is good, but aren't you up a little early? You must have been dreaming about it and could not sleep!

DONE at 6:44?

Steve's right... you need to get out more. When are you going to buy a project boat? Rick D.

Funny you should mention that, Rick

We almost bought a company boat last weekend, a little San Juan 24. A nice boat, perfect for the Tuesday evening Lake Union Duck Dodge races. Good price, needed some work, but Spring just isn't the right time for us to get distracted. :) Soon though, very soon...

The new forum is great!

I like: - Being able to scroll through the thread quickly - The type style allows me to see more and more clearly - All the forums are on one page and easy to select ... once you realize that it is alphbetically arranged - and it doesn't bounce me out and forget I exist now This site is great. It has a lot of good participation which is the result of your collectived dedication to making the site work well. While handing out compliments - I must say that I really look forward to the little sailing quizes - they make me think about things I may have forgotten (or never knew) and I really like following the discussion thread afterwards. Which raises a question - I would like to look back over old quizes and discussions following the quizes. I just joined this group about 5 or 6 months ago so I don't know what to search the archives on. Also is it possible to find the old quizes (and answers :) )? However, I can understand if you want to keep them secret for later re-use.

And a good project that would be!

Nothing secret about the quizes, just have to format them in an way that makes sense for archives. Thanks for your kind words, and we'll work on the quiz archive!

Phil, I wouldn't mind if you buried the old

quizzes. They make me realize how much I don't know. :)

The new format is great!

Phil, you guys have done a great job with the new formats and made a great site even better. They're easier to use, easier to follow threads of interest and save a lot of download time. As to the quizes, I love 'em and I hate 'em. I love 'em cause of all the things I learn from them, but hate 'em cause they always seem to show me just how far I have to go in learning about my new favorite hobby! Every time I start thinking I might be getting somewhere in my sailing education, up pops another quiz to show me I don't know a darn thing! Oh well, back to Chapmans!

Good Little Boat, Phil

The San Juan is a fun little boat,Phil- I had one before the H34 ( I know- 10 foot itis!) Have raced it for 10 years- still get to crew as I sold it to my son in law. Little spooky with that big chute downwind with some cross waves tho.

Don't know how they stack up today...

But, when I raced a generation ago, those pesky little rascals consistently embarrassed some pretty decent skippers. Might want to rethink that one Phil, heheheh.
