I keep seeing 13.5 Beta diesels listed on e-bay. They are new engines
being offered by Joe Demers of Sound Marine Diesel LLC in CT. The
engines ship from Eastern NC. It is not really an auction but a 15%
discount off the list price. They are listed at $4814 US. This is
about the same price as the engine from Steve Birch if you consider
shipping and import duty. Does it help the Brittish Vega Assoc. to
increase volume? I'm looking but in no position to buy so I thought
I'd pass along the info. I was calculating the comparison based on
picking up the engine since I live 1.5 hours from the east coast
distributor. It would probably be cheaper to buy from Steve if you
need to ship from NC to your boat.
