I've noticed that most of the "Navpod" installations seem to be on a a "cranked forward" pedestal guard. The one on this H30 91 is straight up on both sides with a curve on top. Can someone recommend best way of mounting a 6" plotter & Autohelm head (and maybe another tridata or something (later)) at the helmsman's position?

No room in the inn.

Patrick, Locate the autopilot over on the stbd side just fwd of the rear berth area bulkhead. Opposite of the engine panel. I have all my ST60 instruments mounted up on the cabin bulkhead along with a compass on each side. This allowed me to remove the binnacle compass and mount my radar display in it's location. Because of the small cockpit I have found this arrangement to work quite well.

My Two Cents

On my 1989 I mounted my Standard Horizon plotter in a custom cut aluminum housing from Edson right in the middle of the pedistal guard using an Edson mounting bracket which attaches to each side of the guard. I subsequently, mounted my autopilot and wind instrument out to the side using smaller Edson aluminum housings and chrome pedistal mounts, again from Edson. Rather pricy, but the housings can be rotated, as well as very ergonomically located to the wheel.

In A Few Weeks

Patrick, I am on my way out of town for a few weeks and do not have the time right now to get a picture. I will write myself a note and when I get back I will take a picture and post it. Keep an eye out. Frank
