Hey everyone. New 1983 S2 9.2C owner here. Love her so far.
We're trying to give her a bit of a makeover as the previous owner did not keep her aesthetics in the best shape. It looks like the sealant around the windows had actually melted from the sun and baked onto the Lexan windows.
I can sort of scratch it off with my fingernails, but I'm afraid to use anything abrasive on the lexan.
I read up on cleaning lexan, that you can use one of those headlight kits, but that takes off the outer UV coating on the lexan. Then, if you don't dilligently wax it, it will yellow in the sun. Being that the boat's from 1983, does it even matter? is the coating already gone?
There's already some crazing in the lexan windows. Well, there's crazing on all of the lexan on the boat, but what looks the worst is the gray crap all over the windows.
Any help would be appreciated!
