Are the months of October/November good for sailing the BVI? When is the best time of year to visit/sail?

Can't answer what is the best time but Hurricane season ends November 30. We have been many times starting the first of December. Winds are always 20 - 25 Knots. Sailing is great but you have to plan for long sails. Been rained on a few times but we waited around and it went away.

The best time to be in the Caribbean is January through May. It's also the most expensive time.

I've been in the BVI the last 2 years and will be a little more south in Grenada this year. We go at that exact time. Something like October 26th -2th

Sailing is very good. Winds are a little heavier (20-25 constant) but if you reef the main its not a big deal. Its not always that strong but it wasn't uncommon. We were on a 41' boat which handled like a champ. If the winds were too strong we just ducked behind an island and it all went away. We go at this time because we get the tail end of the low season and get a nice discount.

Any time I can go!

We generally always go around Thanksgiving and catch the end of the lower season rates. Have also been in early June obviously higher hurricane risk but still pretty early in that season.

We usually go late May or early June when the kids get out of school. We're going down June 10 this year. That's the latest we've gone, but that area doesn't usually see hurricanes until much later in the season. Knock on teak. We have been 6 times around this time of year and have always had good wind and little rain other than the quickly passing tropical showers.
