Best Time of Year to Find a Good Deal on a Boat

Do a lot of boats go up for sale as the summer ends?I'm looking--in California--for 25'-27' boat with a trailer. I'm probably looking for a Catalina unless I can find something equivalent or sturdier for a good price that has a shallow enough minimum draft to be relatively easy to ramp launch. I don't mind a long drive to pick it up.Thanks.
