60 degrees ,sunny today.
Pulled the motor out of the shed, dewinterized, started on first pull.
Charged the battery, checked the lights. I ran a 10` jumper cable from the decktop mast female plug to the 4 prong male plug hanging off the base of the mast out over the pulpit. Discovered that when the wind blows alligator clips around , they touch together and circuit breakers pop. All lights are good.
Discovered that when you try to install black rubber plugs in the mast in the holes where the shroud "T" connectors go into the mast, you have to lubricate them with dishwash soap.
Discovered that ,when so lubricated, they are slippery and hard to hold and a ball peen hammer hurts your fingers.
Discovered that when they are slippery enough to fall, they fit perfectly into the cockpit drains.
Discovered that when using the garden hose to flush out said drains, it is better to have a grandson (or someone equally expendable) catch the plugs in the flow rather than hunting for them in wet grass.
Water tank (for small sink) filled, installed, pump is working.
Next on list is install refinished rudder/tiller and install the tiller tamer line on it.
I`m going to just tie the ends of the line off to the stern cleats on either side for a while, not drilling any holes for cleats or eye hooks until I`m sure I`m gonna keep it on.

This was the absolute BEST Sunday I`ve had all year!!:)

Weather wise it's a low bar. We didn't get much above 50 today but I got up on the boat and got started so it was pretty good. Broke the covalent bonds with the couch 'though.

I had an awesome second sail of the season! Wind was better than the WX guessers predicted, but it died according to their prediction. Had to motor back in from the bay.

You are way ahead of me schedule wise, Kappy. I trailor sail this boat, parking at the marina starts May 1. No room there before then because parking spaces still have big boats in cradles. Just unwrapped my shrinkwrap yesterday.
Every night on my commute home over the Key bridge at Baltimore, I look both ways for boats. Saw the first sailboat this spring Fri night inbound near Ft. Howard just off Sparrows point.
