It seems I need the 20" shaft. What would be the best Hp. My old outboard was a 4 Hp Johnson it just didnt seem to be enough for rougher weather. But i also dont want something thats to much for the boat.

IF going NEW your stuck with 4 strokes which weigh MORE and 6 hp and below tend to be 1 cylinder motors with a nasty vibration COMPARED to the old 2 stroke twins twin cylinder motors
I would think on a 26s 6 hp with a high thrust porp would be the min that i would want to get me out of a bad place
