HI All, My boat is one year old and although I clean it with Mermaid soap (2% wax) and give her a good rinse when I use her she needs a little more now. Favorite products? This is not for the hull... just the little parts of paint and wax that surrounds the nonstick. The hull was done professionally. Anyone use Turtle Wax? Do people like the clean/polish products? I don't want to use anything too abrasive since she is still pretty new and still nice and shiny for the most part. Non skid looks dingy outside the boat. Favorite soaps for that? Green products? Something that won't hurt the Water in the Marina? Non skid inside the boat (if I use soap it will run into the bilge and into Puget Sound). I do not use the carpet in the boat because I like to look in the bilge for water too often so the non-skid in the boat is dirty/dingy looking. Products for non skid inside the boat? Do people clean nonstick with just something like Simple Green, a brush and elbow grease or are there better options? Will soapy water be okay in the bilge? Stainless steel has water/salt marks smooth surfaces on top of boat look shiny still but I want them to stay that way. I had the hull done professionally when the boat was pulled. THank you, Bonnie Rieser

Is great for washing waxed surfaces. It will not strip my Collinite 885. My nonskid rarely gets dirty enough that plain old salt water, a deck brush and some elbow grease will not clean up. See the latest PS. They have an article on "green" and household cleaning products.

Thank you Tim for the suggestion. I will look for IMAR. Hope it is in a boating supply store. I haven't heard of it. WHat is PS magazine? Power Squadron? Thanks! Bonnie

I have not seen it here but you can get it at Defender.com. Not sure about any of your local chandlers. PS = Practical Sailor Non biased equipment reviews. They are completely reader supported. No ads to cloud the waters.
