Best bottom paint for salt water

I will be storing my boat in a slip instead of on my trailer. I'd like to occaisionally trailer the boat for weekends away. I am going to bottom paint the boat, but I'm wondering what is the best bottom paint for salt water. Most recommendations from boat yards here are for Pettit Trinidad. Will I harm the paint by trailering the boat now and again? What recommendations do you have for other bottom paints? Tony

I keep my boat in the water 6-7 months a year (Chesapeake Bay). Two coats of micron csc every other year. I'm on my second year with this paint. It's holding up great. Best of all when I store my boat on the trailer for the winter it doesn't deteriorate. No sanding after initial application. Just power wash and apply two more coats.

I agree with Sean

Micron CSC seems to be elbowing its way rapidly to the top of the preferred list. I am using VC17 right now in fresh water and after 8 months, the gelgoat is showing in the high-wear areas (leading ege of rudder, bow etc.)Looks like it will be Micron CSC next time. Are you going to keep your boat on the Atlantic or Guulf coast?PeterS/V Raven
