Taking a long weekend in Bermuda (Mar 31-April 4) and was looking to do anything sailing related.

Bermuda Sailing

We were in Bermuda about 10 years ago and rented an O'day Daysailer from one of the hotels. Some very nice sailing close inshore over some coral reefs. I don't recall which hotel we rented the boat from but hopefully you can do some Internet searching to come up with some options.

I was there over a long weekend 5 or 6 years ago. We stayed in Hamilton which is home of the Dinghy Club, which does not rent boats I believe.
We also rented an O'Day 17' Day sailor but not from a hotel. It might have been the same one Mike rented.
The outfit we rented this boat from was way around near Somerset Bridge/Ely Harbor and was a hoot. The mast had been cut down about a foot so the boat could get under the bridge and you could sail out in the Great Sound. We sailed all the way back to Hamilton and back.
The rental guy gave us a place mat with a map of Bermuda on it and penned in a few spots where he thought there were rocks. Reminded me of the Simpsons and was quite hilarious.
We had a nice afternoon sail while our wives went to the ocean to relax. While they were enjoying the beach they noticed a funnel cloud just south of the island. We saw it from the boat too but luckily all we got was some rain as it passed over us.
I think that the check in point for ocean cruisers is around by St. George, near the airport, if you want to try and talk your way onto someone's boat.
It was an expensive trip but really was fun. Try the Black Seal rum if you've never had it. Get some in duty-free on your way back.

I think we rented from Windjammer Watersports out on the west end of the island, at Cambridge Beaches. Do an Internet search for them, I couldn't find a website specifically for them but there were several references on Bermuda tourism sites. They might be worth checking out. When we were there, granted quite a while ago, we had some trouble finding anyone who rented daysailors, you could either find beach cats or larger bareboats but little in between. The folks managing the cottages we were staying at, sent us to the place we used.
