81 hunter 22 with stanchion post bent in about 20 degrees further than it should be. noticed stains in the cabin where moisture has gotten past the baseplate. looks like the wood that is sandwiched between the exterior and the interior fiberglas beneath the baseplate is showing some signs of rot. i believe that i can get the stanchion straightened out but what options do i have to regain the structural integrity of the deck for a secure remount after i straighten out the stanchion. it looks good from the topside and i am hoping i can work it from the bottom in the cabin. thanks dpatrick

very impressive

mark thankyou for the reply. i'm impressed, nice job. i would imagine the stanchion post would break off before that base would move. can you recommend a good penetrating epoxy. the only one that i have heard of is git-rot mfg by Life Industries out of n. charleston, sc. thankyou again i appreciate your wisdom i would say that is definitely a bulletproof repair when you can put something back stronger than oem. dpatrick
