I wasn't around when the mast was removed and now notice the starboard spreader is bent. Not surprisingly, no one seems to have noticed how or when it happened. No doubt gremlins, sea urchins, sprites, or mysterious magnetic forces managed to give it a 45 degree angle. The bend is actually in the shank at the plate that is riveted to the mast. The actual spreader sleeve has a small rip at the base of the aluminum sheath. The bigger issue is the shank-can I attempt to bend it back to the proper angle, or am I risking snapping it off? Can anyone suggest a resolution, and, is there a possibility of replacing the riveted plate? Appreciate any insight. thanksBob
