Does anyone know if a rudder post can, or should be straightened? My post has been bent as a result of hitting an uncharted submerged object or chain (in 14' water). Actually, we don't know yet if there was any internal damage between the post / fingers and the foam. Foss Foam advised me to replace it as the 304 Stainless steel's structural integrity can not be restored once straightened. Anyone else have experience with something like this? Thanks.
