We had a cable snap on our mast which allowed the mast to bend at about a 30 degree angle right where it comes out of the deck of the boat. Can this be straightened without fatigue or weakening of the`aluminum? It is a Kenyon Marine mast and we think our boat is a late 60's to early 70's model. Any advice`would be appreciated.

If the bend is right at the top of the cabin, I think you will be OK to strighten it. It would be a good idea to ad a reinforcing "sleeve" at the point where it bent. This may involve making the hole in the cabin top abit larger to accept the "sleeve." Good Luck
