My Autopilot doesn't work. The mechanical parts work as it does fine steering with the remote. The control unit seems to be off 180 degrees but sometimes it doesn't steer any course just circles. Any suggestions??? Can I buy a replacement control unit?? Anyone know of a repair shop??? thanks Tom

Try calling The Offshore Store

Hi Tom - You should be able to still get parts for Benmar autopilots. Try calling The Offshore Store (206-632-3025) - they have a part time guy who has repaired those units before. Best, Trevor

compass?

Did someone remount the part containg the compass on a different spot (i.e. formerly on a rear facing bulkhead, now on a forward facing bulkhead.) This'll put the fluxgate compass out 180 degrees.
