I have a 2009 37' Beneteau Oceanis. I have noticed recently that the water coming from the water heater is not getting as hot as it was previously (while plugged into shore power). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks,

The heating coil may be calcified or you have bad thermostat (temperature control). Both are fairly easy repairs.

There is a mixing valve on the tank to mix cold water with the output hot water to prevent it from being a burn risk. It's possible that the valve has been turned to a cooler setting, or it may have failed in some way. If the temperature is also cooler after motoring then that may be your issue.

I've got the Quick Nautic Boiler, 25BX, on my 37 also. Recently it has been tripping the circuit breaker whenever I turn it on. Has anyone else had this issue? Should I first replace the circuit breaker to make sure that's not the problem? It would be a lot easier and cheaper than replacing the heating element and the thermostat from Quick, at about $200 in parts. Does anyone know if other companies make interchangeable thermostats and heating elements for that?

As a followup to my reply above, I replaced both the thermostat and the heating element, and it solved my problem.
