beneteau oceanis 40 (2008) transmission question

I cannot seem to find the literature for the transmission on my Oceanis 40 so do not know what transmission I have. That being said, does anyone know the make and model? I have recently noticed when shifting into reverse there is a slight delay - 3-4 sec. - before it actually goes into gear. Could this be an indication of a more serious problem down the road? The engine has only 135 hours on it and the transmission fluid is clean and full. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Capt. Pete

THERE IS PROBABLY A NAME PLATE ON TOP OF THE TRANNY. IT WILL ALSO SAY WHAT FLUID TO USE.

Problem resolved. After removing shifter cable from the Teleflex helm unit and manually shifting the transmission lever into reverse I found that the shifter cable was longer than it should have been - did not align with the hole in the shifter I removed it from. Shortened the cable by about 1/4" . I am assuming it had stretched over the 8 years since the boat was built. It now moves the shift lever on the transmission into full detent in forward and reverse. The other problem of it being hard to shift is in the cable itself. I removed both ends of the cable and tried pulling on it by hand - it was hard to move both ways and did not move smoothly with ease. I ordered a new cable. Thought this might help anyone else having the same problem.
