Beneteau First 10R vs. C & C 99

Can anyone offer an informed comparison of these boats? Intended use would be a combination of (relatively short-handed) family racing and cruising on Lake Michigan. FWIW, right now we mostly day-sail a Catalina 30, but my sons are high-school racers and I'm looking to keep them interested in sailing with me. One thing to note is we're all over 6', so the C & C has an advantage down below, but I'd be interested in others' thoughts about how much of an advantage since headroom isn't currently an issue for us.

Dave dont know about the 99 but I did do some warranty work on a new 120.Found the Harken hardware all a little undersized. Most every place you would expect to see backing plates,we only found washers. I do like the looks of these boats and they are fast, but they need a good going over before you start breaking things. Carl
