Hiya.
Not long purchased a 1995 Beneteau 44 cc and love it.
One of the problems I have is that the saloon windows are leaking.
They appear to be simply held in place by sikaflex and pulling away slightly from the coachroof.
Is this the case? or are there screws holding window in place too?
Very keen to get this sorted before onset of winter! Yeah, I know, summer is still (just about) here!
Thanks
Dave

more than likely held in place with DOW 795 sealant. It would be best to pull the window and reseat it with new sealant. ANYTHING You put on topically is not going to last and may add hours to your repair in removing any trace of silicone, such that the new stuff will actually stick to the two parts desired.

The 36 CC was held in place with spacers at the bottom, by temporary screws. When I did my reseal, I used dive weights and braces to hold the lens in place, until it set up, and I did not use any additional screws, that would leave a hole and require filling as the lens set up.

My 36CC was a 1999, you might give the factory a call to see what they are currently using.

Hiya.
Thanks for that. I was dreading having to remove the lining on the inside of the coachroof to access screws as the lining looks horrible to have to take out!
I have booked a couple of days off work to do the job!
Cheers,
Dave
