Hi, I noticed some corrosion and a hairline crack around the set screw on my stern tube (see pic). Any ideas on what would cause this and what action I should take.

Likely due to slight difference in alloys of screw & sterntube. On my last haul out in October, I noted slight corrosion on mine. I removed screws, sanded lightly to remove corrosion with 120 grit paper. I recoated with two coats of interluxe 2000 epoxy and hotcoated with antifouling paint. Keep an eye on the slight crack on the tube.
