I am a few months away from receiving my new boat, and wanted to know if you are aware of any issues with the Beneteau 393 I should address up front ? I recently read an article on Odor Control from boatbuilding.com, that went into the importance of design in the holding tank system, and listed numerous requirements that seem difficult to compare with Beneteau 393 information I have on hand. For example, the article lists numerous requirements, "install a second vent line in order to create cross ventilation, or install some mechanical means of forcing air through the tank.

I wrote that article...

And I've been trying--with -0- success--to get boatbuilding.com to remove it for more than two years, because I haven't revised or updated it in more than 10 years (when I realized how much work it needed to update it, I decided to write a book instead)...making a lot of the information in it so obsolete that it's incorrect. At one time, it was either on or linked to nearly 50 sites...boatbuilding.com is the only one who's refused to remove it...in fact, have just ignored my every request. However, to answer your question, I know of no specific issues on the new Beneteau 393 that aren't also common to most production boats. If you find you have any issues to deal with after you've owned the boat, we'll deal with 'em one at a time.

It was a good article

It was a good article, nice and short, and actionable. After reading it I felt I didn't need a book ... but since it's your book, I will go buy it.
