Beneteau 393 wheel brake

I own a Bénéteau 393, 2004, without Wheel brake, which is very useful.
I'm looking for what kind of brake could fit on my steering Wheel (I have the original)

Believe your wheel is Whitlock, which is now part of Lewmar. See here.

If its like my 323, the wheel,and pedestal is a Goiot (French, even though a US built boat.
I don't understand why there is no wheel brake. Mine has a 3 spoke adjuster just forward of the wheel. Makes me wonder if it was apart at one time in its life and was forgotten at reassembly.
