Beneteau 390 .1988 Oceanis

I have the above model of boat and wonder if anyone would have the original imformation brochures on this boat, ie layout, where every thing is,technical info etc, prop size, pitch and so on, so that i may know the boat better?
Has anyone chaged to a folding prop on this boat, as there is clearly a very large paddle wheel effect? I have a Yanmar 3GM30 28 H.P. dielsel engine.

Cannot help much with the modle, but I had the same engine in a 1999 36CC. Here are some specs:

Engine: Yanmar 3GM30F
Transmission: KANZAKI KM2P
3 blade 15 x 10 RH for a 30mm Shaft
Reduction: 2.21
Prop - Right Hand
Oil Filter - Fram PH3593A or PH5046
Fuel Filter - Fram C1191A (10 micron) or ACD51
Engine Oil: 15-40w
Transmission Oil: 30w

There were various transmissions used so you will need that ratio before specifying a propellor. I fitted a Flex-o-Fold on this engine with satifactory results.

Beneteau 390

Hi Holly,

I have a 1989 Beneteau 390, it has the orginal Engine which was the Volvo Penta 42 HP
I have a brochure and other items, I gotta dig them up.

I really enjoy it, and currently I have it at the Air Force Marina here in Panama City, FL.

I dont really know much about Props, but mine currently has a 3 prop blade, it may even be the orginal.

You used to be able to download the owners manual from the BeneteauUSA web site, unfortunately BeneteauUSA made a complete mess of their website during a recent redesign. They now use it to mine leads for their sales effort, tell you what great customer service they offer, and restrict your access to useful model info. I was able to download some specifications (attached). But suggest that you call the customer service people in Marion, SC, (USA) and ask them for the very important information on ship's systems.
